Converting an M4a audio recording

Does anyone know of any apps or free software that I can use, to convert an audio recording from my iphone, please?

I am driving myself crazy looking for something suitable.

If you are more adventurous you can use FFmpeg in command mode.
You can also find some GUI's.

Audacity though is good for doing various things with audio files, so have a play with it.
