Changing broadband

I’m currently with BT and have unlimited fibre optic. With that and my line rental I pay £47 a month!

I’ve seen a deal with TalkTalk for the same package for £30 a month. TalkTalk are offering similar speeds to BT

I have have had no issues with BT and have been a customer for many years so I’m worried that if I change over I’ll compromise my service and regret it.

Any thoughts?

Ring BT, tell them about the other offer and ask if they'll match it since you're a loyal customer?
I want to upgrade to fibre optic so am interested in the offers.

I moved from TalkTalk, rubbish service, any tech help is from abroad, broadband would go off for days for no reason then when I moved to BT, Talk Talk rang me every day for months on end

I have Virginmedia and pay £58 a month. This includes talk at any time for my phone (up to one hour) a TiVo box which includes a medium package and unlimited broadband with a fast speed. You do have to watch them tho as they are inclined to raise charges, small but often. However, they respond well if you challenge them.

We are with BT and have been for the past year paying £31.50 including line rental. We had to take a contract to 18 months to keep that price, so I would ring them to see if they will match talk talk with a contract

I am on sky at the moment, I pay 27.99 a month and that's with fibre too ! I rang up and asked over phone what's the best offer you can give me works out 17.99 line rental and the rest is for wifi
Never had a problem always runs smooth

Sometimes if you phone and say your thinking of leaving then they will give you a better offer :)

Talk Talk could offer me free broadband and prosecco for life and I would just laugh in their face!
Talk Talk customer service is non existent. Just don't go there. They reduced me to tears on several occasions through their utter incompetence and I'm a normal level headed non dramatic person.
Google Talk Talk complaints or Talk Talk OFCOM.

I just left BT for TalkTalk. Paying a lot less for fibre optic than I was for non fibre with BT. I left because I didn't have broadband for a few days - no reason - and BT have NO telephone service to report faults. You have to chat online with an Indian call centre. I got Ajit, who suggested I get a technically minded friend to search for the problem on wires outside my home, as he could see it was a fault somewhere outside my home. Time to leave...
