I do not use any anti virus product on my lappy. I find they just clog up/slow down etc. I always log in as a user rather than an administrator. I dont download any shareware or similar. Never had a problem.

You should only use one real-time AV program at a time so I don't know why you are using two together in the first place.

Back in the dark ages of the early 00s viruses and malware were different and different programmes 'caught' them

I would be happy to hear that one programme does all now - not sure I'd be brave enough to go without!

Since Windows XP (maybe even earlier) only using one real-time AV program at a time has been the recommendation.

As recently at 2011 I was using 3!

Ah well times change - I'll stick with Malware atm & see what happens

Do you mean Malwarebytes?

Are you using the paid for version?

The free version of MWB does not include real-time protection.

If you are using the real-time protection then you don't need to use anything else as well.
