Sharing music with kid's profile on Amazon fire

My 9yo is starting to explore his own taste in music but I can't work out a way for him to do this using his amazon tablet.

Does anyone know if there's a way to listen to music on the kids' profile on the Amazon fire? I know it's not possible to share music from my own Amazon account but is there a way round this, e.g. by downloading and sharing a different music app?

We are total dinosaurs and still buy cds so I am pretty clueless about music downloads...would something like Spotify be the answer?

I tried and failed to do this on my DS's Fire. The music app can't be shared on a child's tablet. Its annoying because DS used to have an Asus tablet so I could link it to my Amazon account but no more :(
