How to restore pics moved to Google back to my iPhone? +lost texts

I have an iPhone SE, 64gb size.
I had around 4,000 photos and quite a few short videos on it and it had run out of room.
My ds helpfully moved all of them to Google photos (app on phone)
But I want to move a few back to Favourites on my iPhone and also create a separate file for pics of a certain person.

Does anyone know how please???

Also, a text stream from a certain person is no longer accessible from August backwards, iyswim. Is there any way of retrieving the texts pls?

I presume you have the google photos app on your iPhone. Open the app and select the photo you want to save, then click the icon on the top bar that is a square with an arrow coming out the top, you’ll get a pop up and on the bottom row is a save image option (square with arrow pointing down). Once you have it saved you can go into photos on your phone and select the heart to make it a favourite.

Picture 1 is the google glow photos app on iPhone, it should show all your photos in date order.

Picture 2 is you selecting a photo by clicking on it. At the top of the screen is the square icon with the arrow pointing up. Select the picture (it’ll get a blue tick) and then click the square icon

Picture 3 is the “pop up” that opens when you press the square icon. The bottom of the pop up should have a save image icon. Sometimes iPhone photos are actually short videos so it might say save video instead.
