Which tablet should I get

At the moment i read traditional books though I have some on kindle. Otherwise I am using my iPhone 5s for pretty much all apps or internet browsing/watching iPlayer/.

I think the iPhone use isn’t great for my eyes and my iPad 2 won’t update properly.

What tablet would you recommend for general internet browsing, use iPlayer and kindle. I don’t need access to my iTunes as happy to listen on the iPhone. The iPads are pretty expensive but what would you recommend? I’ve never used an android device at home but wouldn’t mind trying it.

Samsung tab s2 gets good reviews but is quite pricey
