Dell laptop stuck on 100% update HELP!!

I can't get this screen to go. It's been several hours.

Ethernet cable won't fit in the laptop as the internet gave that advice.

Turning on and off does nothing.

Please help!

Do you have any USB devices plugged into the laptop? Even if it's just one of those tiny receivers for a wireless mouse...? If so, remove it (or them) and if it's truly been stuck for many hours at 100%, I'd personally force-shutdown the laptop (hold down the power button for >5 seconds) and then power it back on.

Force shutdown using the power button then remove the battery. Hold down the power button for 5 seconds and put the battery back in. Restart and it should load.

What worked, OP...? Was there any USB device plugged in, or did it just need the forced shutdown/restart?
