Help please, I have 180 emails & first one wont come through ??

I have been away for 2 nights and turned on the pc this afternoon ,Outlook express says it is receiving mail, keeps going for ages, then says error. It is now showing 180 messages to come in, but seems to be getting stuck on the first one, no idea what it is.
I have completely emptied my inbox and thinned deleted items to essentials only, any ideas please ?

who is your email provider? can you go view the emails online and delete the one causing all the bother?

You need to go to Tools, options, find the checkbox which says 'do not download emails over X kb' and uncheck it. Then do another send and receive.

Or do as Pesme suggests.

Some bugger has sent you a big email - probably your MiL if she's anything like mine. It will be v. dull when you get it.
