Recording calls on iPhone?

I need some help please.
XP has started being verbally abusive and threatening again via phone. This has gone on for years and years now and I am sick of it.

I want to record his phone calls. Is this possible on an iPhone?

I think you press 4 whilst on the call, but I believe it gives a warning to the person at the other end that the call is now being recorded. Not 100% on that though.

You need an app too - and most only work on incoming calls, not outgoing ones - pressing 4starts and ends the recording - and yes an automated voice informs both parties that it's recording.

You'd think it would be quite straightforward but it's not.
