What the jeff is going on? I can literally only connect to the Internet if I am using Gmail. Or Google but I can't then follow any links from the search results.

I've pootled about in settings a bit but TBH don't understand much.

Can anyone help, in terms I can comprehend?!

TIA

Have you tried rebooting/shutting down the apps?

JenTeale · 24/04/2017 22:31

Yes I have closed everything down and rebooted

Have you rebooted your router? Turn it off, leave it for couple of minutes and restart.

Also, what type of device are you using? iPad/PC/phone? Do you have the same issue on different devices or is it isolated to just one?

JenTeale · 24/04/2017 22:52

It's just on my laptop, haven't tried turning the router off and on but have had the same issue at home and elsewhere today.

Clear your browsing history and cookies? Check your default browser settings.

scaryclown · 24/04/2017 22:56

this happens on some limited access internet services - are you definitely connected to the service you mean to be?

JenTeale · 25/04/2017 08:29

scary how would I check that please?

how would I check that please?

If you are using Windows:

Press the Windows key on your keyboard and press R at the same time.
Then copy and paste this in:

control.exe /name Microsoft.NetworkAndSharingCenter

Then press enter. Make sure that the network listed is your home/work wireless network (if you are using a wireless connection).

Thanks
None of these things are working :-(

What error message are you getting when you try to use other websites?
