ok will try to explain this
i'm saving images from an ipad and emailing them to myself on my PC
i am then saving these images, one by one, from the email onto my PC
every time i save a new image i have to trek through layers and layers of windows folders to get to the folder i want
is there a way to get windows to open the last folder i used when i "save as"?

1. If you are using Windows 10, when you go to save the file, on the left, scroll to the top and choose 'Quick access' and more often that not the most recent used folders are there.

1. Otherwise, a) create a shortcut to the folder you want to save the pictures in, b) place this shortcut in the folder that the systems first offers you, c) when you click on this shortcut you will be taken to the folder you wish.

a work around i used yesterday was to save them all in "my pictures" which is the folder that opened on PC when i copied from the email.
then opened each picture in paint, made the amends and saved as in the folder i wanted. that folder opened automatically each time i "saved as" in paint.

but will do the shortcut next time, thanks
