Connecting iPad to projector

Had this is chat but no replies so trying here...

I am getting v confused trying to figure out what bit of kit I need to connect an iPad (with lightning cable port) to a standard projector to run PowerPoint presentations off. Ideally it would also double up to connect iPad to telly.

If I can do this it will save me carting a laptop around just to carry the slides on!

Would I just plug projector into the end of this connector?

That should do it.

You'll need an adaptor like the one you linked and then a VGA cable to plug into the projector (I imagine this would be with the projector anyway).

Thank you. The linked one arrived today and I have just ordered the vga to hdmi one for the projector.

We have a hdmi to TV one already linking telly to one of the boxes there
