How do I permanently delete something from my Kindle?

I bought a book of women erotica on my kindle. I've just upgraded my kindle and told ds that he can have my old one. However, I want to delete that book first.

I know how to delete stuff from the device, but how do I delete it permanently from the archive in the Cloud? I'm sure I've done that before but can't work out how. It keeps sitting there and I can't get rid of it!

Maybe you have to do it through the Amazon website on the computer?

Googling suggests doing it through Amazon and going to ' manage content and devices' (or similar)

Thanks, I'll try that.

Yeah you have to delete it from your Amazon account rather than just deleting off your device.

Deleting from device puts it in the cloud. Deleting from Amazon will delete it completely.
