We've had sky for as long as I can remember and I've always loved it. But, i don't love it enough to warrant £38 a month just for tv which is what my subscription is about to jump to.
I spoke to them today and they said the best they can offer me is £3 off that for just 6 months of the 12m contract.

We can't have virgin and my internet isn't reliable enough for the likes of BT tv or whatever it's called these days.

Does that leave me with just the option of having the tv aerial installed (it's a new build) and sticking with freeview???

You can use the dish for Freesat. Depending on how smart your TV is you might need a decoder box, and if you want record capabilities you will need one. But once set up no monthly bills.

Yeah I found that last night. As much as I've loved sky I actually think we'll be fine with freesat. I don't really watch tv now and my son tends to watch Netflix. Might be the way forward to be honest.
