Dh says - what's your signal strength like?

If it's low, every now and then it will drop off and start looking for networks.

Basically, you need to be closer to your router.

ItsMeMellowma · 08/02/2007 18:26

okay this is what you need to do:

Switch off reuter
remove dsl from back of reuter
reboot computer

switch reuter back on
try re-connecting now

In THAT order,please.

Tutter · 08/02/2007 19:42

thanks AG and mellowma

AG - atm the laptop is right next to the router and the signal is always excellent, so not that

mellowma (aren't you bossy ) - right have donw what you said (i think i got it in the right order anyway) - fingers crossed...

Tutter I have the same problem, some days better than others. We had a guy from Dell check itout when he installed dh's new computer (I run the laptop off the wireless) and he said it is just one of those things (environmental influences etc etc). Basically have to put up with it .

Tutter · 08/02/2007 19:49

waaaaaah

it didn't work

cov - pain in the butt isn't it

Sure is, however it has meant I am much more productive, as I can only use the computer during the day in DH's office whilst ds naps, as the laptop doesn't always work.
