Hi,

I have just bought my son a tablet with android 5.1 lollipop. I have set up my own profile, with no restrictions on it, and a profile for my son with apps on it that I have allowed.

I have just tried to download his favourite app - Lego Ninjago tournament - to my profile so that I can give him access to it, from Google play.

A message comes up saying 'Parental controls restrict downloading of this item.' But I haven't set any up!

I am going round in circles trying to solve it but I just can't. Any clues? Please!

Go to the Play Store, go to the menu icon ,and click 'settings' scroll to 'user controls' section, then 'content filtering' and check the setting there.

it might say 'parental controls' instead of content filtering

Thanks for your reply. I tried that but it wasn't it. Phoned google play support. Actually very fast and helpful. Not my expectation! We did a reset and it worked. Neither of us could work out why!
