Can anyone save me from a nightmare trip to Apple please?

I'm getting texts from DH into my iPad but not my phone.

His texts used to come through both and only his.

Then I got texts from a friend into iPad but not my DD's plus I sent a text which showed in my iPad though I sent it from my phone. The friend received my text as if it was an email.

This happened to DP's ipad. Drove me nuts as it kept pinging while he was at work. You need to go to settings & turn imessage off on your ipad as far as I remember.

I don't know what I did but I got the next text off DH into my phone.
