Connecting Kindle Fire to TV - is there a way?

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to connect my Kindle Fire to my TV so I view film/programmes on my TV screen? I currently do this with my Chromebook via the HDMI cable, but the Kindle doesn't have HDMI, just a mini USB port. I have a cable that fits into this with a regular size USB on the other end, is there some kind of connecting device I can use?? Am not particularly techie minded Shock

Thanks in advance!

I think you just need a micro usb to hdmi cable, you can get them in the supermarket. We used to do this a few years ago but now watch through the Amazon app on the Xbox.

You could buy a Chromecast and that works via chromebook or kindle fire with no cables
