shock wave crashing ,unable to load HELP

I have no idea what shock wave is or does ,but I keep getting this message .On mumsnet mainly .

Probably related but when I'm MNetting ,things slow down ,I have trouble switching between threads .

I use a Dell laptop and it's now running windows 10 ,but this was a problem before the upgrade .

Does anyone know what I can do ?

Shockwave is an adobe add-on that is used to deliver interactive content on the web, the best advice I can give is to uninstall shockwave from add and remove programs and see if it requests to be installed again on any of the websites you currently visit.

Many laptop manufacturers used to install Shockwave, plus many other programs, as an extra source of revenue.

I've googled removing add ons and disabled it in Chrome .
Should I remove it from other locations ? And if so ,how do I find them ?
