Can I set up a normal Kindle Fire to work like the Kids version?

I bought a normal Kindle Fire (8" HD) instead of the Kids version, but only my kids use it really and I think the Kids interface is perhaps easier for them to use, and has the free games etc available as standard.

Is there a way to change the model I have to work in the same way, does anyone know? And if so, are there foolproof instructions somewhere?
