Lost my Apple play on I pad!

Would be grateful if anyone can tell me how I can get apple play back again instead of apple drop? I need it to mirror my pad to Apple TV and also was intending to purchase a printer with apple play on it. Hope someone can help!

Well this works for me.

1. Open iPad and pull up from the bottom the section that shows brightness, volume etc.
2. Use the apple tv remote to switch it on. Light comes on the box.
3. Back to the iPad and touch the Airplay area on the section in 1.
4. You will then see the Apple TV option and the iPad option. Touch the Apple tv option and it will then come up on that connection on your smart tv.
