www.textapotato.com/

Its a thing - somebody spent £7 to send you an anonymous message on a potato. Who do you know with more money than sense.

possum18 · 05/12/2015 00:11

This has really brightened my evening GrinGrin

MovemberSucks · 05/12/2015 00:20

WishItWasSunday · 05/12/2015 00:26

"Coal" I think. Bit harsh!

ilovesprouts · 05/12/2015 09:32

Isn't coal what you are supposed to get given at Christmas if you're naughty? Grin

TurduckenForDinner · 06/12/2015 21:27

I think the only appropriate thing that should be engraved on a gift potato is "I love you more than chips".

That not a potato, its a plate of IKEA chips. Grin

Stellar67 · 06/12/2015 21:35

In my head I read that the postman got you the potato.
Bake it, nice lunch tomorrow. Bit random though. Who sent you it?

DraenorQueen · 06/12/2015 21:39

So, people are sending random people potatoes (approx cost 4p) with fancy labels and packaging for £7...elsewhere, £7 could buy a homeless family a christmas lunch at a shelter.... far be it for me to tell people how to spend their money, but it's a funny old world, isn't it?

Footle · 06/12/2015 21:40

Do you have any Dutch friends ? Today is St Nicholas / Santa Klaus, when good Dutch children get presents and bad ones get a lump of coal. In their clogs, rather than their stockings.

ilovesprouts · 07/12/2015 18:37

Nope not a clue ,it's gone in bin now whoever sent it wasted there cash.Hmm

I just received a personalised potato too from www.paddypotato.com , it definitely cheered me up Grin. It might be a waste of money and better spent feeding the homeless but I've been down and it made me laugh.

IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere · 25/01/2019 21:27

Last year on Mother's Day I had a potato from my son and daughter in law as an alternative to flowers. I kept it in a pretty bowl on my dining table alongside the flowers I'd had from my other son. I loved them both.
