Its a thing - somebody spent £7 to send you an anonymous message on a potato. Who do you know with more money than sense.

This has really brightened my evening

Isn't coal what you are supposed to get given at Christmas if you're naughty?

I think the only appropriate thing that should be engraved on a gift potato is "I love you more than chips".

So, people are sending random people potatoes (approx cost 4p) with fancy labels and packaging for £7...elsewhere, £7 could buy a homeless family a christmas lunch at a shelter.... far be it for me to tell people how to spend their money, but it's a funny old world, isn't it?

Do you have any Dutch friends ? Today is St Nicholas / Santa Klaus, when good Dutch children get presents and bad ones get a lump of coal. In their clogs, rather than their stockings.

Nope not a clue ,it's gone in bin now whoever sent it wasted there cash.

I just received a personalised potato too from www.paddypotato.com , it definitely cheered me up . It might be a waste of money and better spent feeding the homeless but I've been down and it made me laugh.

Last year on Mother's Day I had a potato from my son and daughter in law as an alternative to flowers. I kept it in a pretty bowl on my dining table alongside the flowers I'd had from my other son. I loved them both.
