iPhone 6 vs 6 plus?

I currently have an iPhone 5s and am due an upgrade in the new year. I don't know whether to go for a 6 or a 6 plus (or even a 6s or 6s plus but may not be able to afford that).

I use my iPhone for reading books, watching Netflix and general online browsing so do want a bigger screen and the 5 feels tiny but I am worried the 6 plus will be too big, like a tablet and awkward to use to make calls!

What do you have, what do you prefer and does anyone have experience of both?

In your case, I would probably go for the 6 plus. I have the 6, which is big enough for me, but my DM uses hers for reading, much as you describe, and she has the 6 plus. It is massive, but I don't think it looks ridiculous when she makes calls.

Are you able to go to the apple shop and have a proper look at both, to help you decide?

Thank you. I tried to go in my local phone shop but they don't have any to try out or compare (just boxed ones) because they kept getting stolen! Obviously live in a rough area

I use my phone for the same things you do and have just upgraded to the 6 plus.

I love the big screen.

That said its hard to do anything one handed and doesn't fit into your pocket.
Still happy I got it though
