DAB radio signal failures-please help!

Not sure whether to put this in Radio Addicts to see if others are having the same problems, but think it is more likely I would get some advice from you technologically gifted people here.
I have two DAB radios, one in the kitchen and one upstairs in the bedroom.
Both working for a few years without a problem, until about two weeks ago.
Since then I have noticed that every so often, the DAB stops working. There is no pattern to to the times it just stops.
I have checked the transmitter on the website and that says there is not a problem. The FM works on the radios, so it's not the equipment. I tried turning off the home wifi, but that made no difference.
We live in a detached house so unlikely to be interference from neighbours.
Any ideas what I look for next?

I don't know, except if there have been new buildings going up in the district, that MIGHT get in the way of the signal.

The better the aerial you can use will help as well.

Can you get more than one version of a station? There may be 'duplicates' that come in better.

That's interesting you should have this problem.
About 2 weeks ago my new DAB radio started to give me the error message 'Station off air'. now I listen to Radio 4 and only in the event of an apocalypse / nuclear war will Radio 4 go off the air. And its a devil's own job to get the thing to re-tune in. This was happening every time I turned it back on. Last time, I retuned to FM and there it will stay. Technological progress - hah!

Thank you for replies.
Odd, isn't it?
Ferguson absolutely no new buildings going up anywhere near, but will try looking for different tunings.
DPotter Has your DAB radio 4 stopped working completely, or is it intermittent like mine?
Mine will be working perfectly, then just stop. Sometimes it come back in spontaneously, although most of the time I just turn the set off and try again later. Other times I will turn the radio on and get the "no signal" message. I have checked on both sets when this happens and both do the same thing, so I know it's not that particular set, it's both.
It can happen at any time of the day or night (bit of an insomniac so often switch on in the wee small hours). We are semi-rural, so no industrial activity nearby.
Baffled.

When I turn it on I just get the error message for my preset Radio 4. Have left it working fine he day before. It does still pick up 100 other stations but Not Radio 4 or Heart the only 2 stations I listen to. When I try to retune,, it just will not pick up Radio 4. I wonder if the radios are now so sensitive that if the reception is slightly off, they wont tune in. I actually bought a new radio about 3 months ago as reception was dropping out and I thought it might be the radio is it was old for a DAB. think I'll plug the old one in and see what happens. Have checked on the internet but no joy there. We are quite rural, with dodgy broadband as well. 3 miles from a town in the Thames valley near all the software / computing companies. - But that's another thread..........

Well more by luck than judgement, I think I've found the reason for the intermittent problem.
DH has recently changed some but not all of the filament bulbs in the kitchen downlighters to LED's. There are three light switches for different light combinations, depending on where one is in the kitchen iyswim, so we don't always turn all the lights on. One of the three switches turns on more of the LED bulbs than the other two, so fault is worse and signal disappears if all the lights are on, but is OK if only some are on.
The bedroom is directly above the kitchen, and we don't always go to bed at the same time, hence the fault in the radio upstairs is intermittent depending on whether the kitchen light are on.
Just call me Sherlock. Wink
