Cheaper alternatives to a GoPro?

I'd like to get one as a surprise gift for my DS, but can't bring myself to spend £145.
Can anyone recommend a cheaper ( but equally good) alternative?

We got one from Aldi last year, think it was 40 or 50 quid. It is better than DSonIL's branded Go-Pro. Not sure if they are still selling them though, so maybe not very helpful post.
