When I have my Pro in computer mode - upright, attached to the keyboard, if I touch some part of the screen - the black bit around the screen, on the L hand side as I am looking at it, the whole thing shuts down immediately.

Really inconvenient as if I move the computer forwards or backwards while I am working and accidentally touch this spot, the whole thing shuts down.

is this a feature? Is it faulty? Can I stop it happening?

Sounds faulty to me!

How old is it?

BrendaFlange · 16/11/2015 17:21

About 2 years, I think.

I don't think it has always done it.

Sad

sounds like it is shorting out.

does it do it when there's no keyboard attached?

BrendaFlange · 16/11/2015 20:18

Not sure - I will experiment a bit.

It's not doing at all at the moment.

It is a work one, I think I will get the IT co to have a look.

Could I be dangerous?

About getting your IT peeps to take a look.

Not dangerous I wouldn't have thought :)
If you're worried, just don't charge it over night :)

Thank you, binary.
