Help! Hotmail Message disappeared

I was waiting for an important email, then found it in my Junk, so I clicked to move it to my inbox.... And now it has vanished!
What could have happened?

Have you deleted it accidentally and it's in the Trash folder?

No unfortunately, That was my first thought. I am baffled.

When did you get the email? If it's been a few days have you checked back to that point in your in box? What I mean is just it won't be at the top of your in box if you've received emails since it arrived....

Any help?

No it's not there either, I can't think what could have happened
