So DH bought a phone from Orange years ago. That phone no longer exists, but I use the number that came with it.

I use a 2nd hand iphone.

I now want to change from Orange, but use the same phone.

Is this even possible? Confused

Can the actual phone be unlocked through the sim? Confused

Help!

Yes! Take it to your nearest phone repair guy!

I will. Tomorrow. I've had so little luck with Orange that I'm at the point where I don't care how much it costs to unlock my phone Grin

Who are you going to go with? O2 are quite good but, I'm thinking of going back to Vodafone, I always had good signal and service too!

I'm planning to go with 02

I've just unlocked an old iphone 4, was previously with O2 and process was quite straightforward - BUT - everything I read online said that the unlock goes through Apple and if you get it done by a phone repair shop you run the risk of it being locked again next time the software is updated.

Have you googled unlock iphone 'no' orange? O2 is just all online.

I've recently unlocked two second hand iPhones, both on Orange. Fill out this form. It costs £8.99 if you are on PAYG and takes around a week.
