new dell laptop any recommendations on what to load on to it and what not to load on to it?

anyone got any advise, downloaded itunes, moziila firefox, skype and now i'm stuck as i can't remember what else i had on the old laptop!!

do you have Microsoft Office/Open Office type packages?

Some security? Printer drivers?

You'll probably need Adobe reader etc too but usually I just gt on with what I am doing and then realise I need something and download it then.

What you need is ninite.com/ it lets you plick and install multiple applications in one go.

Remove Norton or McAfee and replace them with Defender or Avast.

After that it depends on what you are going to do with the laptop

I use BT security as I get it free with my Infinity contract, check in case your supplier does the same if it isn't BT.

Its got Windows 8 on it, as far as I can see the Microsoft office thing you can get a free trail for a month, did download Adobe flash player, I use laptop for chatting to people through forums, music, fb and emails, I connected my printer, as I scan in documents to send via email as well
