Help! Virus on computer

I've closed down and restarted after McAfee blocked infected files. Now I am getting a message from a page proclaiming to be Microsoft asking me to call a number. Google tells me it's a scam number and they charge you for deleting the virus. What do I do?

Definitely a scam. It's been a while since I did this so current best methods may be different, but you could start by running Malwarebytes or see if there's a Microsoft malicious software removal tool you can use.
