Xbox one playing 360 games

So we're looking at buying an Xbox one and have heard you can now play the 360 games on them is this all models or will a new model be released to play them?

From what I've read, I think it's all models. You must have the 360 physical disk from the info so far. Honestly I don't have an Xbox so kind of skimmed over the E3 info.

It seems to be a software update that will enable it, don't get to excited though it's not available yet.

Apologies if I'm mistaken, console gaming is not my strong point.

Just didn't want to buy one now for dss then find another that plays 360s comes out later in the year

From what I heard (on {www.} TWiT.TV ) only 100 of the originals will initially be playable.
