kindle 6" is it too small?

I recently cracked the screen of my Lenovo 10" and need to replace it. The screen cracked so easily just as I put the tablet down it made me wonder if I was cursed the larger screen was weaker. I was thinking of going for a smaller tablet. Dh and dd have kindle fire hd 7" tablets that have been very good. But the 6" looks good and is cheap, but I can't decide if I will regret it being too small. Anyone tried it? If you dont like it what would you recommend?

Just to add I want to use it for going online more than as an ereader. Mainly MNing and maybe watching a few things on YouTube. Also I believe it has cameras and I may use it to Skype and take photos.

My dc have the 6" kindle fires and they are perfect for them. They use them mainly for playing games and going online and have been fine for that, the only issue they've had is that it was a little more tricky to get a cheap case to fit them.

Thanks they do look nice in store and I heard they are good readers as so light. But they are quite diddy. I definitely need a case though! Can't break another screen.

I decided to go for the fire 7" as it is on offer on Amazon, in the end. But I must say the 6" looks like a good kids tablet especially with the kids setup they do that lets parents control.access.
