Laptop or PC?

I work from home, and currently have a 19" screen laptop. It's not the best ergonomic solution and I get eye strain from long days in front of the screen.

I'm therefore looking at changing it. Should I consider a better laptop (better screen, maybe?) or a Surface Pro (anyone got one?) or a traditional desktop PC?

I run a fair amount of software so the processor needs to be able to keep up!

Any suggestions appreciated :)

You will get more power for the same price with a desktop, and its easier to upgrade. If a component fails, like the screen or keyboard its easier to replace it. On the other hand not so easy to cart about. As a temporary fix you could also get a second monitor.
