Please tell me about it!
It's upgrade time for me and I have no idea what to get. There is too much choice for me.
I use my phone for web browsing, social media, writing, listening to audible and taking photos.
I am with EE atm but don't mind changing as coverage is shite where I live.

I've got a 4G LG G3 that is wonderful. Apart from the name.

TiggyD · 17/05/2015 14:23

Good reviews too.

Cocolepew · 17/05/2015 14:48

Note 3 I love it. Tesco do a good deal on Note 4's.

The new LG G4 is out soon, and well worth a look. The camera is one of the best available - see the *> LG G4 review

Sony Z3 compact, love it, fantastic camera too.

I have a nexus 4 and love it even though it is almost three years old.

I have had Samsung and HTC phones in the past but hate the stuff they add to android. I would never buy a non google android phone again. You get the updates almost instantly and it seems less cluttered.

NetworkGuy · 18/05/2015 23:55

alteredimages - understand your preference... AFAIK, few of the networks offer the Nexus phones, but I did see that upgrades are available via Carphone Warehouse (offering the white Nexus 6) or the black Nexus 6 can be had on upgrade from mobilephonesdirect.co.uk or mobiles.co.uk (latter is CPW's web-only service)

Unfortunately those upgrades are only available with O2, Vodafone or EE, so if the OP is with another network it may not be an option. I think the Nexus 6 is the Motorola Moto X with a different case and larger screen, BICBW.

neolara · 19/05/2015 00:01

Nexus 5 is fab

Smooshface · 19/05/2015 00:26

I want the sony z3 compact so much. Currently have borrowed a Samsung Note 2 after my iPhone packed up, it's good fun but definitely too big for me!

FiveHoursSleep · 20/05/2015 14:50

In the end I went for the Note 4. It's only a tiny bit bigger than a Note 2 and I can see I'm really going to like it.
The camera is lovely :)

I have an iphone but a moto
G as a work phone. The
Moto g is really good and a great smartphone for the price.
I would have one for my main phone if I didn't have a hand-me-down iphone. The moto g is much better vfm.

Glad you found a phone you like OP. Smile

EnlightenedOwl · 20/05/2015 22:35

xperia

Moto G is a great wee phone. I have it as a spare. Main phone was a Samsung Galaxy 4 which was great until it updated to Lollipop. The MotoG was fine, no problems. The Samsung has been one problem after another since the update.

NetworkGuy · 16/06/2015 05:17

I use my Moto G (Dual SIM) a lot of the time - I think it's the XT1068. Very handy when you want to be able to accept calls on 2 different numbers/networks.

One of the very few (AFAIK) Dual SIM phones released in UK, and currently running Android v 5.0.1

NetworkGuy · 16/06/2015 05:18

Blush oooops - it's 5.0.2

KnockMeDown · 16/06/2015 06:14

You will not be disappointed with the Note 4. The camera is superb - I have been taking such lovely pictures on mine.

Can I recommend a genuine S-view case? It really improves the functionality.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 23/06/2015 17:18

I'm getting a G4 at renewal. I loved the S2 but the S4 has been pretty disappointing for reliability. Two mainboards, burnt out SIM, really crap reception on EE.
