black iPad screen

Toddler bashed the screen. We still get the time and charge amount on display but nothing else. Is it beyond repair?

Have you rebooted it?

I would guess, as it is showing something on screen then the screen itself is working, though maybe a connector has come unattached.

Probably worth having someone take a look at it. Local gadget fixit shop if out of Apple warranty.
