Tesco mobile - what happens after contract term is over

I'm thinking of joining Tesco mobile on a 12 month contract. Does anyone know what happens after 12 months - does my price plan stay the same in terms of what I pay and how many minutes, text and data I get? Am I no longer tied under a contract? Had a nasty experience with Vodafone where I joined and they then increased my tariff after 12 months claiming they had only offered me a temporary discount. Just want to make sure this doesn't happen again! Thanks

Not sure if this will be of use now but I had my dad on a fixed term contract with a Tesco mobile. When that ended, I was able to move to a sim only plan for him that was half the price (and a much better deal minutes/data wise)

I'm guessing if it is only 12 months it's a SIM only deal rather than one with a mobile...

Guessing, as I am not with Tesco, that it would just roll on, into a monthgly rolling contract, where you'd only need to give 1 month's notice to leave (or ask for PAC to take number to another network).

If you have a phone locked on Tesco, worth getting it unlocked (perhaps at low/no cost) before you switch network. Some networks charge, some unlock for free, and Three no longer locks their phones.
