iPad or you tube history

My ds13 is being very secretive with the iPad. I think it's mainly you tube videos but not certain. Can anyone help me check what he's been watching and help me put restrictions on you tube videos. Thanks

If he's using the YouTube app, then the menu has a History option that will show you the history. However, it is very simple to clear that history which I imagine your son will have done.

If he's using Safari (web browser) then, again, there is a history section. It's accessed via the open book icon at the bottom. Again though, it is very easy to clear this list, which I imagine your son will also have done.

To set restrictions, go to Settings, General, Restrictions and you should see a whole set of options about what you can control.

But, this might be better dealt with by talking to him and finding out what he is doing and why. I also would reconsider whether a 13yr old having total access to an iPad is appropriate.

Thanks I've found the history on both and there's weeks and weeks of it so he hasn't deleted anything. He's been watching FIFA videos - lots of them. Will put some restrictions on. Feel awful for doubting him now.

I had spoken To him about it and he told me it was football stuff and he was telling the truth love him.

If he looks up things on safari with the in private setting, then those sites would not come up on its history.
