Can someone explain how I could trace a key logging program on my iPad? I need to check my husband isn't logging what I'm typing. Is there any other software I should be looking for? I look out for webcams etc, they're pretty obvious. I just can't trust him at the moment, many many thanks.

Endless, am gutted that you've had no response here. How are things?
I'm going to ask the IT dept at work about this, so hopefully I'll come back to you with news. KOKO.

What are your technical abilities like?

Keyloggers are made to be difficult to trace and remove, so it won't be an easy task.

Do you have access to his computer? And his email?

Installing a key logger on a non-jailbroken iPad would be extremely difficult: there's no evidence that such a thing is possible. However, if the iPad is jailbroken then all bets are off. Look for an application called "Cydia".

However, if you are still concerned, reloading the iPad's software from someone else's computer, one which your husband hasn't had access to, would give you peace of mind.

How technically capable is your husband?

He's in IT securitylecturer
Can you clarify what you mean by 'jail broken'?

Thanks.

Hi thanks for the replies, my husband is a software engineer and computer programmer. Extremely capable when it comes to anything technical, he deals with computers better than with humans! The iPad isnt Jail broken and I'll have a look for Cydia.

LittleEsme I'm okay thanks for asking, in another honeymoon period I think because he's being slightly better than normal when he can be bothered to remember i.e. Asked if he could go to bed to sleep at 3pm instead of just doing it. I can hear him shouting at my eldest though so i'd better go check :(

Why are you needing to hide stuff and what information are you not wanting him to find?

Well, check out this tool - www.refog.com/ . It is actually designed for parental control and employees' monitoring, but you can try)If you search for certain information and proves and know what to do with them after - go ahead. If you ain't ready to know the truth - think twice.
