Ipad/iPhone users - any idea why I can't text from my iPad any more?

Having had a glorious month of being able to text people from my iPad (not through imessage but normal sms messages to non-iphone-owning friends) - I suddenly can't anymore! Messages just fail to send. Any ideas? All software is up to date on iPhone and iPad. Thanks.

What software were you using to do this? Or how did you do it?

It depends on how as to why it won't work anymore.

Just on the iPad's own message app. It's weird because messages I send and receive on my phone are still showing up on the iPad but I can't send them from there.

Have you gone into settings to see if everything is switched on?

If you go in settings then messages then "send and receive" your mobile phone number should be listed and ticked in there.
