Is there a free 'notes' app for the iPhone that syncs across your devices meaning I can do a shopping list on my iPad then take out my iPhone when I'm at the shops?

Our groceries is good and free - you can even sync to other people (DP?) and it is on android and apple.

I use ShopShop. It can sychronise through Dropbox so I often start a list on my iPhone and then finish it off on my ipad.

I've been using it for years. It is simple to use and free.

The Apple Notes app that comes with the iPad and iPhone can synch automatically, I always do my lists on the iPad and read them on the iPhone in the shop. You just have to associate Notes with an IMAP email account or iCloud account - I use my gmail account. To sync Notes, enable Notes for your email account in Settings Mail, Contacts, Calendars or Settings > iCloud. Then you just need to make sure the notes are in the email account in Notes, rather than 'On My iPad/iPhone'
