I couldn't open docs as there were 'crashes' and it couldn't save them either.

Soo... I did a full scan, rebooted. No probs. Uninstalled O.O. and just went to re-install and AVG are warning me of a threat from the d/load.

Is this common? Should I ignore AVG?

anyone been here please?

tia

You could try Libre office as an alternative.

ah thank you! That's what I have done - my word processing needs are modest in the extreme, so I d/loaded Libre and all is gud with it, thanks.

I think I said somewhere that in Linux at least if you uninstall one of these two products and leave bits of it lying around, then try and install the other, it gets narky about it. Maybe this is true of the Windoze versions too.
