Dropbox - an idiot's guide please

Need to access some files stored on Dropbox to play on devices. Basic instructions please!

If it is your Dropbox account, then just install the dropbox app on the device.

I don't use dropbox so have no account. The files have been uploaded by someone else to be downloaded by individuals.

This person needs to send you a link - preferably text it to your device so you can click on it. Remember that copyright laws apply - if the individual has put copyright material on his Dropbox account that may not be a breach of copyright but you would be in breach of copyright if you download it.
