Aldi DAB radio no sound

So all the stations are scanned and tuned in but no sound at all.
Any ideas? Yes the sound is turned up!

Read all the instructions and/or look on line for the model number.

You have to 'choose' the station you want from the list, and probably then OK or Enter it to hear it.

Did you check online whether you could actually get a digital signal where you live before you bought it?

Since you've scanned (and presumably it found some stations) then one of the buttons might show 'info' and pressing it a few times should give you a signal strength display (bar graph, perhaps). If your area should have coverage, but you are getting nothing, I'd take it back to the shop as faulty.

If it's not an area with coverage, again, time to take it back (on the grounds the store should not have stocked it, or at the very least, had a prominent notice "No local DAB signals").
