Ok I'm going to keep calm. A Whole day's work has disappeared

It's an assignment I did today, in Libre Office on a word template.

I've been saving religiously every paragraph but when I've re-opened it the template is there but all the text is gone

Please can anyone help?

I don't know the exact program you've been working with, but templates can't be saved on top of, so it will be in a temp file somewhere.
Have you got a "recent documents" or similar somewhere either in the programme, or on your desk top?
