Iphone can't get mail

Iphone 4 was working fine but now won't receive mail. I can send mail though.

I haven't changed or altered settings at all and they match those in ipad which is working fine.

Message I get is 'cannot get mail. The mail server btinternet.com is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in mail settings.

Have rebooted phone and also deleted mail and set it ip again to no avail. Any ideas?

Mine does this all the time and then will randomly start working again.

If it helps, on one occasion it was because I didn't have enough cloud storage space. I bought more space and it started working again.

No got enough space. Am at a loss so will just have to hope it starts working again.

I had this the other day on my iphone. I deleted the account in mail settings, then added it back on.

Mine has done this twice. Both times I deleted the account then added it again and after a little while it worked.

I think sometimes it's a server problem with your mail provider.
