My phone has broken, is out of warranty and I need to get something this week for work. I have a great virgin sim plan so just need to buy a phone but reading websites is doing my head in now so I am turning to mumsnet!
Ideally I don't want to pay more than £150, like a nice camera that takes decent pics indoor of my pfb (!) and I spend lots of time surfing sites like mumsnet talk.
Have been looking at Nokia lumia 635's but seen some awful online reviews, Samsung s3 seems good but its pretty old now and a bit out of budget , the s3mini camera gets slated so can anyone give me some other things to look at before my head explodes. (Oh and I don't want an iphone!)

I'd see if you can get the Motorola Moto G (there are earlier versions which are 3G and latest are 4G compatible). If 4G isn't so important as price, then get the slightly older (4-6 months I think) model and it should hopefully be in budget and meet your needs!

I've just checked and Ebuyer.com has the newer 8GB storage model at 145 quid with free delivery. That 'second generation' model also has an 8 Mpixel camera rather than a 5 Mpixel (I had only thought it was the 4G feature that was new, but I'm wrong). Might be worth treating yourself and be relatively 'futureproof' until 5G is available!

Good luck.
