Please help me! My iPhone 5C has gone totally crazy!

Hi there, I am very 'un-technical' and although my very technical dh has done an update etc on my phone, it refuses to hold the time, keeps getting stuck on one screen, sometimes I cannot get the tool bar on the button of an Internet page to come up and therefore I am totally stuck on that page until it decides to work, it's freezing in text messages, there are more things but you get the picture! So all of you brilliant people, do you know if its fixable, or should I take it back to the shop? I only got it in April this year, on an upgrade contract with O2, so if I have to take it back to I take it to them or to an Apple shop? Both are massive pains in the backside as they are in opposite towns and we live in the sticks! Thanks in advance.

If you are sure you backed up before reset ( and if you dh is teccky he should have done) try a factory reset and restore?

Otherwise book a Genius Bar appointment and go to the apple shop. O2 won't care a jot, you contract with them is for the sim, the phone is a " gift" essentially. Whether it works or not you gave to pay O2 ( ok I might be over cynical but if they do anything they'll send it off).

As long as the phone hasn't been jailbroken or damaged apple will sort it out, most likely, unless it's simple, by giving you a refurb phone.

( typed on my iPad that apple replaced after a spontaneous screen crack at nearly 11mo old the service was so good it confirmed my isheepery)

If you can look at the settings see if you can find out which version of the operating system you have. (General -About - Version) or look on the software Update page.
Apple first released 8.0, then an update 8.0.1 which was supposed to fix some minor bugs but actually introduced some worse ones. If you have that one it may be causing your problems, but there is now 8.0.2 which is meant to fix them.
