Please, please tell me which phone I should get!

I have no clue which phone I should when I upgrade. I've got an HTC C desire at the moment which is shit has started running incredibly slowly and I'd really like the new one to just work well and continue to work for at least 2 years.
I really need it to be good at playing music and to have a lot of storage space on, I think, because I have a lot of downloaded spotify playlists, which I think is maybe what's making the HTC run slowly?? so I would really appreciate some advice about what storage size of phone I should ideally get. I've got an SD card in the phone at the moment so don't mind getting another one for the new phone, but is there a way round that or is that what everyone does?

I hate my htc too. My sister has just got a Nokia lumina which has windows, and seems really good, so when my contract is up I'm getting one!

If I needed a new phone I'd be getting the Samsung S5. Partly cos its supposed to be waterproof. I have an S3 and I love it. I had an htc windows phone before that and there just werent decent apps for it.

Budget wise the 2014 moto g is probably a good option for you.

Apple yep, lovely but unless you have ££££ you are going to run into memory issues as you need at least the 64gb I reckon and they can't be expanded. The current update for instance needle about 5gb free to do it any many people didn't have that much space.

Never a 4s unless it's a short term choice. Ios8 won't run well, the next update won't be supported and you'll very soon getting apps that won't be backwards compatible eg for your bank etc

IOS8 runs fine on my iPhone 4s....

I have an Xperia Z3. I like the fact you can add memory via micro-SD card, which tends to be much cheaper than you'd pay for upping the memory of e.g. an iPhone.

Moto G - just like a mini tablet. Really fast and I'm very impressed!

I hated my HTC (can't remember model) as I had to 'root' the damn thing.
I still plumped for a HTC One mini as I liked the functionality of HTC but not the glitches of the older model.
I really like it and would recommend it.
