I need to send an email to about 50 people without them seeing each other's addresses. I have drafted an email to me from me BCCing them all and thought it would work. However, despite me leaving a gap between all the addresses Outlook says it doesn't recognise them. What do I need to do? TIA

you should use a semi-colon.

[email protected] ; [email protected]

and you do not need to add yourself as a recipient unless you want a reply address.

Thank you. So do I leave a space between the semi-colon and the email address?

you don't have to.

Your ISP may not deliver the message as spam filters may detect it. You are doing something a spammer would do, send the same message to numerous people.

So firstly decide of you really need to do this. If so then split it into smaller chunks and send with a time delay between each chunk.
