deleted facebook messages

i have accidentally deleted some of my fb messages,not archived

can i do anything to get them back?

If you've permanently deleted them I'm afraid there is no way back. Sorry.

Is this private messages, if so how do you delete them?

i clicked on the messages in chat box and then under options selected see full conversation so they appeared right across the screen.then clicked on the actions option - top right.BE CAREFUL HERE i think you select delete messages (or is it delete conversation?) and you can delete.one option deletes message and one deletes all messages.

please be careful as it would appear from this thread that once they're gone that's it.
